Hermstedt Mac OS 9.x and 10.2.4 Demon ADSL

PLEASE NOTE: - The walkthrough detailed below has been documented on a Mac OSX system. If you are running Mac OS9 you may notice differences in the appearance of the installation screens, but the actual content contained within them will be similar.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: - Do not connect your USB lead to your computer until the drivers are installed

To setup ADSL follow the steps below:

Insert the CD in to the CD-Rom drive.

If setup does not start automatically, double-click the CD-Rom icon.
You can now run the Webshuttle DSL Installer by double-clicking on it.

If prompted, enter the local username and password for your computer, as you will
have to log in as Administrator to make any changes etc.

Note: This is likely to be the password you entered when first setting up your Mac.

Click Continue.

Accept the licence agreement once you have read and understood it.

Navigate to the directory where you wish to install to and click Install.

Select Great Britain as the country, and click continue.

Click Continue.

Click Network Preferences.

Please ensure that Webshuttle DSL is selected in the Show window, then select the PPPoE tab.

Under Service Provider, enter Demon.
Under Account Name, enter your Demon ADSL login, as detailed on your account card.
Under Password, enter your Password as detailed on your account card.
Click Apply Now.

Once you are informed that the installation was successful, click Quit.

It is advisable that you reboot your computer before connecting the Hermstedt
Webshuttle for the first time.
